Disegni di viaggio tra storia e progetto

At the Facultade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo of the Universidade de São Paulo (FAUUSP), VeLoCi Investigator Francesca Mattei will hold the conference “Disegni di viaggio tra storia e progetto” (“Travel drawings between history and design”) as part of an international ceremony aimed to promote cooperation between Italian and Brazilian universities. 

By examining the travel drawings made by architects and antiquarians, Francesca Mattei proposes a reconstruction of the study of antiquities using technical tools, adopted by architects, and through the prism of the antiquarian imaginary. This study enriches the investigation conducted as part of VeLoCi's Research Unit 2 Antiquaria tra immaginario e protoarcheologia.
